TRAVEL REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OR
CareerStaff Travel Nursing is looking for highly skilled OR Nurses for travel RN contract opportunities in Midland, TX. Operating Room/ OR Registered Nurses are a critical part of the surgical team. OR RNs care for patients before, during, and after surgery, as well as assist the surgeon in procedures. Operating Room nurses provide direct and individualized care to patients.
This hospital opened its doors on July 11, 1950, as a community owned, 75-bed hospital, serving the nearly 22,000 people who resided in Midland County. The hospital was staffed with 78 employees and 26 physicians. Over succeeding decades, Midland Memorial Hospital has changed dramatically to meet the needs of a dynamic community. In May 2009, Midland County residents approved a bond to build a new patient tower. On December 19, 2012, the hospital opened the new, nine-story, Dorothy and Clarence Scharbauer Jr Patient Tower. The new tower consolidated several West Campus operations, such as the OB/GYN unit, into the main campus. The tower also features a number of new amenities for inpatients such as an interactive television system and a motorized patient lift in every room. The hospital is licensed for 474 beds and offers several innovative programs, including the Heart Institute, Total Joint Center, women’s and children’s health care services and various rehabilitation programs.
Midland is a city in western Texas. Part of the Permian Basin area, it’s an oil industry center. At the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, interactive exhibits detail the history of local oil exploration and include Boom Town, a replica 1930s oil town with a land office and general store. Dating from 1939, the George W. Bush Childhood Home has been restored to its 1950s state, when the 43rd president lived there.

BLS issued through American Heart Association
Must be eligible to work in the United States
TX or Compact State RN License
